GitHub Advanced Security Code Scanning

Additional security features are available on GitHub.com

Code scanning enabled

👋 Hello!

Code Scanning is a feature which is rolling out to VA github.com repositories in two phases: 12/2/2020 for public and internal visible repositories and 1/12/2021 for privately visible repositories.

To enable this feature, GitHub will be making pull requests to your repository on the dates mentioned above. Our team is ready to work with you to overcome any technical issues in integrating this feature. Once that pull request is merged, you may notice that you receive notifications on any new pull requests about code scanning for security vulnerabilities. This is done in order to help catch any security issues early, before they become a problem.

For more details on taking action on alerts, see Managing alerts from code scanning.

Training opportunities

There are pre-recorded mini-lessons for Advanced Security available:

There is also a self-guided Learning Lab course available here.
